The show opened with the Butcher being welcomed by another sell-out Summit crowd. He announced he was unable to wrestler as his leg was in a cast after the brutal "I Quit" match he'd had with Jay Phoenix at "4Ever Flair", but that he'd return stronger than ever in 2009. This brought out Johnny Mac, who taunted the Butcher for not being able to wrestle in the hopes that the Butcher's pride would force him to defend the belt, but Butcher was saved by Jarod Priest. Priest came out and said that since he was finished with Simmons, Inc, he wanted gold and suggested that Mac vs Priest become a number one contenders match, to which all parties agreed.
1 Contender to Heavyweight title
"The Feature Presentation" Johnny Mac w/Eric Marx def. Jarod Priest
Jarod Priest had Mac beaten several times during this match, but every time he got a pinfall or submission, Eric Marx would jump on the ring apron to distract referee Patrick G. Finally, a frustrated Priest pulled Marx in the ring and clocked him one, but Marx came back with a superkick that let Mac get an easy pin. After the match an angry Jarod Priest nearly punched out the referee before storming out of the ring.
"Master Technician" Jay Phoenix def. Cletus
Phoenix easily defeated the newcomer despite some impressive moves from Cletus. The match ended when Jay slapped on the Broken Wing submission, but would not release it after he was declared winner. This brought out Fuzion who broke the hold with a dropkick to Phoenix's head. Fuzion than challanged Jay to take on someone his own size, leading to...
Fuzion def. "Master Technician" Jay Phoenix
The masked Phenom and the Master Technician went back and forth in this match, trading blows, holds and throws. The end came out of nowhere when Fuzion got on Jay's shoulders and pulled out a victory roll for a three count. This incensed the Dream Night champion, who then attacked Fuzion and slapped on another Broken Wing until officials broke it up.
Mixed Breed w/Kellie def. The Heismans w/December
Due to Kimberly Kash being double booked the six-person tag was changed to a straight tag match. Once again Joe Heisman seemed unable to gel with little brother "Junior Varsity" Tom Heisman, and the Breed got the win. As Rion Skillz and Rik Rockett celebrated, a disgusted Joe walked out on Tom and December.
Simmons, Inc came to the ring. As Chris Styles & (Soon to be) "Legendary" Aaron Cruise looked on, both Jenna Munroe and JT Simmons announced that they had formed the greatest tag team and in 2009 Simmons Inc would be the tag team champions. This brought out Body Count & Jay Phoenix who called Simmons Inc "idiots" and that the Chicago Connection was the next tag champs. When asked for a match, Ring Announcer Brian said "if you idiots want to beat the hell out of each other, go for it."
Simmons, Inc vs Body Count goes double DQ
Aaron Cruise & Chris Styles took on Santanna Starks & Daniel Allure and from the go this contest was a mess. Both teams ignored the referee and cheated early and often. Finally when all four men were in the ring, JT and Jay Phoenix both slid chairs in. While Jenna Monroe distracted referee Patrick G, both Chris Styles and Santanna Starks picked up the chairs and threw them to Daniel Allure and Aaron Cruise, respectively. Both men then fell down feigning being hit by the chairs. Patrick G turned, saw both men holding chairs and the other two down and called for a bell, disqualifying both teams. Pat then had to run from the ring as both teams swarmed him for his call.
Sebastian Broadway def. Matt Creed
A very impressive match as both young men showed a lot of potential. Young Matt Creed failed to capitalize on Broadway being alone and wound up getting pinned.
TAG TEAM TITLES
The Foreign Exchange def. Whiplash & Wally Wilde(c)
The tag champs were putting on new lessons in synchronized wrestling as throughout the match they hit dueling atomic drops, dueling Russian leg sweeps and even a double frog splash on Uzi Akiva. But after that splash as Whiplash covered, Jean-Paul Basse threw Wally Wilde out of the ring, as Sebastian Broadway came from the back with a loaf of French Bread. He slid it into the ring, as the ref tried to dismiss Broadway and Basse hit Whiplash over the head with the bread, revealing a lead pipe had been hidden inside. Uzi then came to, covered and the Foreign Exchange is your new tag team champions.
MIDWEST TITLE
"The Shooting Star" Steve Hesiman(c) def. "Hot Bod' Shawn Davis
Steve Heisman, the new Midwest champion, came to the ring accompanied by December and his brothers Joe & Tom. With the deck seemingly stacked against him, Shawn Davis still dominated with a varitey of striked and flying moves. One strange moment came when he missed a plancha and landed hard on the ground. Steve Heisman rolled out and kept his brothers from attacking him. The end came when Joe got on the apron to distract the ref and Tom tried to take out Shawn. Davis instead ran Tom's head into a turnbuckle and got on the top rope, but Steve grabbed him and hit a Super Cutter for the pinfall. After the match, Steve offered Shawn his hand, and the two men shook with Davis raising Heisman's hand as the victor before leaving. As the Heismans celebrated, Joe picked up the Midwest title and rammed it into Steve's face. Proclaiming Steve was "nothing, without me" he then walked out with the title, leaving a confused December and Tom H. to help a glossy-eyed Steve to the back.
